The US has confirmed 12 cases of a new coronavirus that originated in Wuhan, China.
So far, the cases have been reported in six states: Arizona, California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Washington, and Wisconsin. Officials have recorded two cases of human-to-human transmission among family members.
The 12th case was confirmed in Wisconsin on Wednesday. The patient was tested at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison and is being isolated at home, the state health department said.

Beyond China, the outbreak has spread to 25 other countries: Australia, Belgium, Cambodia, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, the UK, the US, and Vietnam.
